The Piano Man

Since the Wreckin' Ball brought up the poster, I figured it should be the next one posted.

Billy Joel

The older folks ought to relate the substance of Mr. Joel's speech at Williams. Pretty funny if I remember correctly.

Improv in the Real World

Lately I've been holding auditions for my film that I'm shooting next month. Actors in Los Angeles are a dime a dozen, but I've been pleasantly surprised at how talented and funny so many of the people we've seen have been. And it's been the longer-form stuff with more precisely developed characters that's been more satisfying than when actors go for the easy jokes.

More housekeeping

So I just called the Maple Terrace Motel. So far the following people have reserved rooms: 1) Myself; 2) Faigin; 3) Spears; 4) Christiansen. That ain't gonna house all of us.

Get on the ball, pair up and reserve those rooms -- just like I suggested back at the beginning of the blog. The rooms will be $65 a night and you can call them at 413-458-9677.

If the money is a problem for any alum, let me know. A large number of zalumni offered to subsidize the housing for those in need. We want as many people to show as possible, not just those with beer money.

In other house keeping notes: the "Recent Comments" section generally seems to be a success, but some people's comments are not appearing. the source of the problem eludes me at present.

I also added sidebar sections for the most active threads and useful information. Let me know if you have more suggestions and I will see what I can do (note: my html programming is NOT good).

Maybe logging onto Combo Za Blog wasn't such a good idea

Since the poster was discussed under the Boniface post, I thought I would post the "Maybe going to see Combo Za last night wasn't such a good idea" poster.

Maybe going to see Combo Za last night wasn't such a good idea

You might have to download the image and zoom in to really appreciate the pictures and little quips.

So what exactly was the campaign you were mocking? Were there any other Combo Za campaigns that capitalized on contemporary campus conditions? The Comments poster certainly fits the bill.
