Absolute Za

Okay, Steve Ehrenberg definitely drew this Absolute poster (you'll have to download to appreciate the full glory) ...

Absolute Za

As a parlor game, you can try to match the face to the correct member of Za.

B, F, G, and H are obvious (Julie, myself, Jason, and Heather). I suspect that E is Steve and I is Goose. Is D Betsy? If so, that would leave Sean with C or A. I suspect C is Sean and A is one of our closeted fans (the audience at the downstage was sparse).

The fact that I was mistaken for John Kerry is awesome. Given the jaw-line, F might well bear a closer resemblance to John Kerry than to me.

I would also like to point out that Jason looks like a heroin addict in this poster. Goose bears a striking resemblance to Shaggy (of Scooby Doo fame, not lame psuedo-reggae ignominity).

And if I misspelled any words in here, bite me.

Holy shit. Mott the Hoople might be the funniest early 70s pop culture reference I've ever heard. I'm not sure why I find it so funny. Does it remind me there was a band actually named "Mott the Hoople?" It "Hoople" just a funny sounding name? Does "Mott" remind me of applesauce (and, I've had some hilarious apple sauce moments)?

I just wanna dance to
Honaloochie boogie yeah
Get in time, don't worry 'bout the shirt shine
Honaloochie boogie yeah
You sure started somethin'
